Spider veins in the legs, and sometimes in the abdomen and chest, are a hereditary conditions, often associated with facial capillaries. Spider veins serve no purpose and are unsightly. The safest and most cost effective treatment remains the microscopic injection of concentrated saline. The treatment works by injecting saline into the veins; the strong saline causes chemical inflammation inside the veins creating edges, which, when compressed by bandages, will close and obliterate the unwanted veins.
